Day 1 - Your Favorite Song

Everybody’s heard this song, but this live version from Gothenberg really punches up the catharsis. When I first moved to New York three years ago, I looped this song on repeat, and it reminds me of the musty windowless basement in Bushwick that constitued my first apartment.

It was shitty, lonely, isolating, below a coke dealer and it’s entry point was one of those metal grates that open up to the street instead of a traditional door over on Boerum St. It was a dump that you could not possibly imagine. But it was my dump. Finally, I had arrived.
